Moving a licence to a new computer starts on the old one

A licence you bought from ROSH™ Company Labs is attached to an account, not to a machine. That single fact decides everything else on this page: you are not moving a file, you are moving where an account is signed in. So before you start the new computer, find the exact email address the licence sits on — including any typo made when you first sent it over WhatsApp — and make sure you can still receive mail and verification codes at that address.

Have these ready. The account email and its password; the old computer switched on and online if it still works; the date your term ends; and a short note of which product sits on which account, because mixing up a personal Google account with a work one is the most common way this goes wrong.

One thing to settle now. ROSH™ Company Labs is independent and affiliated with nobody — not an authorised reseller, partner or agent of Adobe, Microsoft, Apple, Google, Bitdefender or CapCut. Do these in order. The order is the whole trick: the old machine gives up its seat before the new one asks for one.

1. Check the end date first. If you have days left rather than months, finish the term on the old machine and start clean on the new one.
2. On the old computer, sign out inside each app: Adobe from the account menu in the Creative Cloud desktop app, Microsoft 365 under File then Account, CapCut and Google from the profile menu.
3. In the Music app, open the Account menu and deauthorise that computer for Apple Music.
4. In Bitdefender Central, open My Devices and remove the old computer so its slot is free.
5. Uninstall on the old machine if you are selling it or passing it on, and remove the account under Windows Settings, Accounts.
6. On the new computer, download each installer from the vendor’s own website — never a mirror, a forum link or a file someone sent you.
7. Sign in with the same account and let each app finish licensing before you judge it.

If a step refuses, stop there and read the next section rather than creating a second account.

An app that opens is not proof. Free tiers open too, and a trial can look identical to a paid plan for the first few days. Confirm on the vendor’s own site, signed in with your own account.

• Adobe: account.adobe.com shows the plan on the account and the devices signed in to it.
• Microsoft 365: account.microsoft.com, under Services & subscriptions, shows the subscription and where it is installed.
• Bitdefender: Bitdefender Central lists your devices; the new computer should appear and the old one should be gone.
• Apple Music: in the Music app, Account then View My Account shows the computers authorised on your Apple Account.
• Google AI Pro: your Google account’s subscriptions page shows the plan against the same address you signed in with.
• CapCut: the profile screen shows the Pro badge once the correct account is signed in.

Screenshot the renewal date while you are there. It is the one piece of information you will want in three months, and it is easier to save now than to hunt for later.

Most failures have the same three causes: a seat still held by the old machine, the wrong account, or a licence that was never movable.

• The old computer is dead, stolen or already wiped. You do not need it. Bitdefender Central removes a device remotely, Adobe offers to sign out another device when you hit the activation limit, Apple lets you deauthorise all your computers once every twelve months, and Microsoft 365 signs out the device you have used least recently once you pass the limit.
• Nothing releases the seat. Then it is a matter for the vendor’s own support, using the account email. ROSH™ Company Labs cannot open that ticket for you and cannot make a vendor free a seat.
• The device limit is reached. Sign out somewhere. Do not open a second account — the licence lives on one address, and a new address starts from nothing.
• Windows will not move. A licence that came preinstalled with a machine generally stays with it; a retail one can usually be moved. Read your own terms before you assume.

Moving to a new computer does not pause, reset or extend anything. The term runs on the account from the day it was activated, so a licence activated in March still ends when it was always going to end, whatever machine it is running on.

What the terms are. Adobe Creative Cloud is 400 MAD for 4 months. Microsoft 365 is 100 MAD for 3 months, so a full year means renewing four times: 100 × 4 = 400 MAD. CapCut Pro is 700 MAD for a year. Google AI Pro is 250 MAD for a year. Apple Music is 50 MAD for 3 months. Bitdefender Total Security is 399 MAD for a year across 5 devices, and your new computer takes one of those five — which is why removing the old one matters. Nothing renews itself. When the term ends the app drops to its free tier or stops, and you renew by messaging on WhatsApp — ideally a few days early.
