How to activate Envato Elements and register each item so the licence actually holds

Envato Elements has no product key, no installer and no licence file. Access is an account. You sign in at elements.envato.com, and everything else happens inside that account.

Have these ready before you start:

• The email address the access should sit on. If you already have an Envato account, say so when you order, so the access lands there instead of somewhere new.
• Access to that inbox, because sign-in confirmations arrive there.
• The software the item is built for. Elements gives you the template, not the application: After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, PowerPoint or a WordPress site still has to be yours.
• A project name you can live with. Every item used in commercial work gets registered to a named project, so decide what you call it. Client plus campaign beats “test”.
• Disk space. Video templates and font packs arrive as large zip files.

The order and the activation are two different things. The first happens on WhatsApp. The rest happens on Envato’s own site.

1. Message ROSH™ Company Labs on WhatsApp. Say how long you want the access to run and whether you already have an Envato account. Pricing is on request.
2. Pay with the local method agreed in that conversation and wait for the confirmation. A person confirms it, not a robot.
3. Sign in at elements.envato.com with the details you are given, on your own device.
4. Open the account menu and check the subscription reads as active before you download anything.
5. Find the item you need and press download.
6. Register the item to a project when Envato asks. Type the real project name. This is the licence step — skip it and you have a file, not a right to use it.
7. Save the licence certificate Envato generates and keep it in the project folder.
8. Unzip the item and open it in the host application.
9. Repeat the registration for every item you use in that project, and register again when you reuse an item in a different project.

Steps six and nine are the ones people skip, and the only ones that decide whether your client work is licensed.

Three pages inside your own account confirm the activation. Look at all three on the first day.

• The subscription page in your account settings shows the plan as active and the date the access runs to. If nothing shows as active, stop and message ROSH™ Company Labs before you download.
• Download history lists every file you have pulled, with dates. This is proof that you downloaded, not proof that you are licensed.
• Licence history lists the items you registered, the project name attached to each one, and a certificate you can open and save.

The gap between the last two pages is the real test. An item that appears in download history but not in licence history is an unlicensed file sitting on your drive. Register it and it moves across.

The certificate names the item, the licence holder and the project it covers. That is the document you send when a client asks where the music in their advert came from, or when a platform raises a copyright claim. The files themselves are another signal: full resolution, no watermark, no trial overlay.

Almost every problem is one of five. The first is the expensive one.

• Downloaded but never registered. The most common failure by far. Open download history, find the item, and register it to the project it went into. Only possible while the subscription is live.
• Registered under a name like “test”. Register it again with the real project name. A vague label proves nothing the day someone asks what is covered.
• One registration stretched over two clients. It does not stretch. Each project needs its own registration, even for the same file.
• Sign-in trouble. Passing the login around, or signing in from several countries within an hour, looks exactly like account sharing and gets accounts suspended. Keep it on your own devices.
• The template opens with errors. Usually the host application: a missing plugin, a missing font, or a version of After Effects older than the template. Elements supplies the template, not the software.

Access stops on the date the term ends. Nothing renews on its own, because you paid once with a local method rather than leaving a card on file. Nothing charges you quietly either. It cuts both ways.

What survives that date is narrow. Items you registered to a project stay licensed for that project, permanently. The video you delivered and the site you built do not become illegal when the subscription lapses. What ends is new downloads, and the right to start new projects with files you already hold.

Unregistered downloads lose everything. A file with no registration behind it carries no licence once the term is over, and there is no way to add one afterwards. Spend the last week of the term in download history, registering whatever you actually used.
