How much is Boris FX Suite in Morocco? At ROSH™ Company Labs it costs 999 MAD for a 1-year licence. You pay once, with a local payment method agreed in the WhatsApp chat, and the licence runs for the full twelve months. There is no monthly billing and nothing renews by itself. When the year ends, you decide whether to order another term. Spread across the year, 999 MAD works out to about 83 MAD a month.

The monthly figure helps you compare the licence with the work it supports. If even one job a month needs a tracked screen replacement, a logo removed from a shot or a noisy interview cleaned up, the Suite is covering work you would otherwise rebuild by hand, turn down or pass to someone else. If months go by without that kind of job, the numbers look different, and the section on who should not buy it says so plainly.

The price is the same wherever you are. Delivery is digital, so an editor in Casablanca and a motion designer in Agadir pay the same 999 MAD and follow the same steps. What is included, tool by tool

Boris FX's Sapphire page states more than 270 effects and transitions and more than 3,000 presets, in effect categories that include Light & Flares, Blur & Distort, Render & Composite, Stylize, and Transition & Time. It adds the Effect and Transition Builder for making your own effects, Flare Designer for custom lens flares, and Mocha planar tracking and masking inside its effects.

Continuum is a large collection of effects, transitions and workflow tools for editors and content creators. Its page states 300+ effects, 40 transitions and 5000+ presets. Beyond the effects themselves, it includes Title Studio for 2D and 3D vector titles, Primatte Studio for green-screen keying, a Particle Illusion plug-in, and Mocha tracking built into every effect. The machine-learning tools named on the page include DeNoise ML, UpRes ML, Face ML, Retimer ML and Frame Fixer ML.

Mocha Pro is planar tracking software for rotoscoping, object removal, stabilisation and compositing, and it runs either as a plug-in or as a standalone application. Its modules map to specific jobs: Remove for object and wire removal with clean plates, Insert for screen inserts and match moves, Stabilize for steadying shots, Lens for distortion calibration and correction, and a 3D Camera Solver that uses SynthEyes' core tracking algorithms. PowerMesh adds sub-planar tracking for warped, organic surfaces.

Silhouette is a rotoscoping, paint and node-based compositing application for film and TV finishing. Its page states 400+ compositing nodes and names machine-learning tools such as Mask ML, Matte Assist ML and Depth Map ML, along with the Primatte, zMatte and Power Matte keyers. SynthEyes is a standalone 3D camera tracking and matchmoving application: it solves camera motion and tracks objects so CG can be combined with live footage, then exports to Blender, Maya, Cinema 4D, Houdini, Nuke, After Effects and other applications.

Optics is the still-image tool in the bundle, adding cinematic filters, lens effects, lighting and colour looks to photos, either as a plug-in for Photoshop and Lightroom or as a standalone app. Particle Illusion Pro generates 3D particle effects for motion graphics, VFX, titles and lower thirds. CrumplePop is AI audio repair for video editors, podcasters and audio engineers, with plug-ins such as AudioDenoise, EchoRemover, WindRemover, Levelmatic and Voice Enhance, and a standalone app called SoundApp.

The last three products are digital audio workstations. Sequoia is aimed at mastering, broadcast and post-production, Samplitude at music production, and Music Studio is an entry-level option for composing, recording and mixing songs. All three are Windows only. If you work on a Mac, judge the Suite on its visual tools and CrumplePop, because those workstations will not be part of your setup. What you still need before it is useful

The licence does not include a host application. Sapphire, Continuum and the Mocha Pro plug-in work inside software you buy and license separately. Across the Suite, Boris FX lists After Effects, Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer, DaVinci Resolve, Nuke, Flame, VEGAS Pro, Final Cut Pro and Photoshop, but support varies by product. Continuum runs in Final Cut Pro and Apple Motion, for example, while Sapphire's host list does not include them. DaVinci Resolve appears as a Mocha Pro host on Boris FX's Mocha specs page but not in the product page's host list, so confirm it before you rely on it.

Several tools need no host at all. Mocha Pro, Silhouette, Optics and Particle Illusion Pro also run as standalone applications, SynthEyes is a standalone application, CrumplePop has SoundApp, and Sequoia, Samplitude and Music Studio are standalone programs. A photographer in Marrakech working only in Optics, or a sound editor cleaning dialogue in SoundApp, does not need a video editor to get use out of those tools.

Check your operating system tool by tool. Boris FX's Suite page says its products run on macOS and Windows, with Linux support for some products only. Continuum does not support Linux, Optics has no Linux version, and the three audio workstations run only on Windows. Sapphire, Mocha Pro, Silhouette and SynthEyes do list Linux versions; on Linux the Boris FX Hub is not available, and licensing goes through the Boris FX License Tool instead.

Some tools ask more of your hardware than others. Silhouette calls for 4 GB of graphics memory or more, and 8 GB for its machine-learning nodes. SynthEyes needs 8 GB of RAM at minimum, with 16 GB recommended, and at least 8 GB of video memory on Windows or Linux. Sapphire can render on the CPU when no GPU is available. Requirements differ between versions, so check the current system requirements for each tool you plan to use on borisfx.com before you buy, including the disk space they need.

Last, the account and the connection. Boris FX products are downloaded, installed, licensed and trialled through the Boris FX Hub, a free app for macOS and Windows, and using the Hub means signing in with, or creating, a free Boris FX account. Standard activation needs an internet connection, although Boris FX documents an offline method for machines that cannot go online.

How ordering, payment and activation work from Morocco

Here is how Boris FX's documentation describes the standard route for a node-locked licence: you receive an activation key and enter it in the Boris FX Hub or in the product's licence tool, with the computer online. For a machine without internet, it documents an offline route: you create a request file on that machine, upload it from another computer's browser, and load back the activation file you get in return. Plan where you will work before you pay. Boris FX's documentation says a standard node-locked licence can be active on one computer at a time. The same documentation says the software may be installed on more machines, that the licence moves by deactivating it on one computer and activating it on the other, and that deactivation needs an internet connection. If the original machine is no longer available, it describes a reset from the Boris FX account, allowed once a month. What happens after 12 months

The licence covers one year. Nothing is charged at the end, because renewal is manual: to keep working, you arrange a new term with ROSH™ Company Labs on WhatsApp before the end date. If you do not renew, the licence ends, and Boris FX's licence agreement requires you to stop using the software at that point.

So plan around your projects, not just the software. Note the end date as soon as you have it. If a client project built with Sapphire looks, Mocha Pro tracks or Continuum titles might come back for changes later, you will need an active licence to keep working on it. Finish or archive open work before the term runs out, or renew first, so a late revision does not land in a gap. Do not count on any particular behaviour from the tools after the end date.

Do you need the whole Suite?

Not always, and it is better to find out before paying. If you edit in After Effects, you already have Mocha AE. Boris FX describes it as a free, lighter version of Mocha Pro's planar tracking and masking tools, included with After Effects and running only as an After Effects plug-in. Mocha Pro is for jobs that go further. Test before you decide. Boris FX offers free trials of every Suite product through the Boris FX Hub, and no payment details are needed to start. Mocha Pro and Silhouette run fully for 14 days, Optics runs unrestricted for 14 days, and Sapphire runs for 30 days with a red X watermark on renders. Then weigh the result honestly. Cracked Boris FX plug-ins: what they really cost

A cracked plug-in is not free; the bill simply arrives later. A patched installer comes from an uploader you cannot identify, and you run it with the permissions it needs to write into your editing software. That is a well-worn route for malware onto the one computer that holds client footage, project files and usually everything else you work on, and there is no way to check what else the package changed.

Even a crack that installs cleanly stays fragile. A plug-in runs inside the host application, so a modified build that misbehaves can take your editing session down with it. A cracked copy cannot be kept current the normal way, so after each host or operating system update you are relying on a patched build that nobody maintains, with nobody to ask when it stops working.

The larger cost is professional. If commercial work is delivered with unlicensed tools, the responsibility stays with you, not with the uploader, and an agency or broadcaster that asks what you used deserves a straight answer. The legitimate way to test first already exists in Boris FX's free trials. Trial renders from Sapphire and Continuum carry a red X watermark, and after its 14-day trial Mocha Pro reverts to a Learning Edition whose renders are watermarked and whose exports are limited to 10 frames, so trials are for evaluation, not delivery.

Against that, 999 MAD for a genuine licence covering a year, with installation and activation help, is a fixed and known cost. A compromised workstation, or a dispute over unlicensed software in a client's campaign, is neither fixed nor known.

Who should not buy Boris FX Suite

Skip it if your work is straightforward editing, such as talking-head videos, simple social clips or event films, with no tracking, roto, clean-up, finishing or audio repair involved. Without those jobs, a year of licence mostly sits unused. Skip it, or at least run a trial first, if all you need is planar tracking and masks in After Effects, because Mocha AE is already included there.

Check the platform before anything else. On a Mac, Sequoia, Samplitude and Music Studio are not available, so if the audio workstations are the reason you are interested, the Suite is the wrong buy. On Linux, Continuum and Optics are not supported at all. And if your machine falls short of the graphics memory the tools you care about require, sort that out first.
