How much does a website cost in Morocco?

How much does a website cost in Morocco? With ROSH™ Company Labs the build has a published price: $149 / MAD 1490 for a landing page, $299 / MAD 2990 for a 4–6 page business website, $499 / MAD 4990 for an online shop and $799 / MAD 7990 for a custom build. The domain, hosting and upkeep are separate costs that come back every year, and this page explains each one.

How much a website costs in Morocco the four packages

These are the four ROSH™ Company Labs packages and their prices, as the website design page lists them. Each price is published in US dollars and in Moroccan dirhams, so a restaurant owner in Casablanca and a client abroad read the same figure.

Package Price What the package lists
Landing Page (1–2 sections) $149 / MAD 1490 A mobile-first page, speed and SEO basics, a contact form with a clear call to action, analytics setup
Business Website (4–6 pages) $299 / MAD 2990 Home, About, Services and Contact plus blog setup, a responsive design on every screen, on-page SEO, a basic CMS or static delivery
E-commerce (Catalog + Checkout) $499 / MAD 4990 Product pages and categories, cart and checkout with payment integration, shipping presets, SEO fundamentals
Custom / Advanced Build $799 / MAD 7990 Tailored features and special flows, CMS and API integrations, dashboards and multi-language, scoped to your goals

For a company that needs a full presence, the cost of a business website in Morocco with ROSH™ Company Labs is $299 / MAD 2990: four to six pages, including Home, About, Services and Contact, with a blog set up and a basic CMS if you want to edit the texts yourself. A single offer, an event or a product launch only needs the landing page. If customers will pay on the site, it is the e-commerce package. Dashboards, several languages, connections to other software and other tailored features belong in the custom build.

Two things the table does not show, because the service page does not show them either. No package lists a domain name, hosting or a maintenance plan, so ask about each of them in writing when you request a quote. And no package carries a fixed delivery time: the timeline comes with the quote, once the scope is clear.

What drives the price up or down

A website is priced by the work it takes, not by its label. Two sites that both look like five pages can be weeks apart in effort. These are the six things that move the figure, and you control most of them.

  • The number of pages. Every page needs a structure, a design, its own text and images, and its own title and description for search engines. That is why a 1–2 section landing page and a 4–6 page business website are separate packages.
  • Custom design or a ready-made template. A template is a finished layout that you fill in. A custom design is drawn around your brand and your customers. The ROSH™ Company Labs process starts with planning and wireframes before any visual design, which is the custom route.
  • Content and photos. This is the part owners underestimate most. If you arrive with written texts and real photos of your premises, team or products, the work goes faster. If everything has to be written or found, it takes longer, and stock photos rarely look like a pharmacy in Agadir or a riad in Marrakech.
  • Features. A contact form is simple. A booking calendar, customer accounts, an online shop, a link to your stock or your CRM, or a second and third language each add design, development and testing.
  • SEO groundwork. Titles, descriptions, headings, image descriptions, schema basics and a clean structure take time to do properly. Every ROSH™ Company Labs package includes these fundamentals; on a stripped-down quote, check that they are still there.
  • Speed. Compressed images, lean code and a careful setup let a page load quickly on a phone over mobile data. Google says it uses the mobile version of a site's content for indexing and ranking, so the phone version is the one that counts.

The practical lesson: the surest way to lower a quote is not to haggle. Drop the pages nobody will read, prepare your own texts and photos, and keep advanced features for a second phase, once the site has proved it is worth growing.

One-time costs and costs that come back every year

The package price pays for designing and building the site. Keeping a website online brings running costs as well, and a quote that shows only the first number tells you half the story. Before you accept any offer, get an answer on each line of this table.

Cost When you pay What to ask
Design and build Once Which package, which pages and features, and what would count as extra
Domain name For the period you register, then at each renewal In whose name it is registered, with which registrar, and when it expires
Hosting Monthly or yearly Which host, whose account, and in which country the data is stored
Professional email Monthly or yearly Whether you want addresses on your own domain, and who manages them
Security certificate (HTTPS) At setup, then on renewal Who installs it and who makes sure it renews
Maintenance and updates Ongoing Who updates the software, keeps backups and repairs problems
Content changes Whenever something changes Whether you can edit texts and photos yourself or pay for each change

The domain. A .ma name is sold only through registrars accredited by the ANRT, the national telecoms regulator that manages the .ma extension. It is registered for the period you request, from one to five years, and the registry states that each registrar sets its own .ma prices, so there is no single public figure: compare the renewal price, not only the first year. A .com is registered through one of the registrars accredited by ICANN, or through their resellers. For a .ma, the registry's conditions give the holder exclusive use of the name during its validity period, which is why the renewal date matters as much as the price.

Hosting. Hosting keeps your site online and is paid monthly or yearly. What it costs depends on the kind of hosting and on how much the site has to handle: a fast static site needs little, while a shop with a database and customer accounts needs more. One legal detail is often missed. If your site stores personal data, such as form messages or customer accounts, on servers located abroad, the CNDP's guidance for websites lists a request for transfer abroad as part of the notification. Ask your host where its servers are.

Email. An address such as contact@yourbusiness.ma inspires more confidence than a free mailbox. It is usually a separate subscription from the website, and it depends on the same domain, so the domain's renewal date matters twice.

The security certificate. The padlock and the https in the address bar come from a certificate, and it no longer needs to be a real expense: Let's Encrypt, for example, describes itself as a free, automated and open certificate authority. What matters is that someone installs it and checks that it renews.

Maintenance. A site built on a CMS needs its software and extensions updated, backups kept and problems repaired. A static site needs less, but your business still changes: new prices, a new service, a second branch in Tangier. None of the four packages lists a maintenance plan, so if you want one, ask for it to be quoted separately and in writing. If you would rather make small edits yourself, say so at the start: the Business Website package can be delivered with a basic CMS for exactly that.

Some owners also budget for visibility after launch: advertising, SEO work or regular content. That is a separate decision from the website itself. At ROSH™ Company Labs the growth and marketing plans start at $149 / MAD 1490, and no website package is sold on a promise of traffic.

What a very cheap website usually leaves out

When you compare a very cheap offer with the packages on this page, look past the design to what the lower price might leave out. Check these points on every quote you receive, ours included.

  • The domain in your name. The holder named in the registration is the one with rights over the domain. For a .ma, the registry's conditions give the holder exclusive use during the validity period; for a .com, ICANN states that the name holder has the right to move the domain between registrars. If a provider registers your domain in its own name, you are renting your own address. Ask to see the holder details, and keep the transfer code: ICANN calls it the Auth-Code, and the .ma registry issues a confidential Authorization Code for each name.
  • Access to your own site. You should hold the logins for the domain, the hosting and the CMS, or receive the files themselves. A ROSH™ Company Labs launch ends with clean files handed over, and you keep full ownership of what is built for you.
  • Security updates. A site that is never updated collects problems. Ask who updates it, how often, and who you call if it is hacked.
  • Speed on a real phone. Open any site you are shown on your own phone, over mobile data rather than office Wi-Fi. Google's PageSpeed Insights reports on the user experience of a page on mobile and desktop and suggests improvements; try it on the provider's own portfolio.
  • SEO basics. Titles, descriptions, headings and image descriptions. Without them, search engines have very little to work with.
  • Real content. A template filled with placeholder text and stock photos is not a finished website. Ask who writes the texts, and in which languages.
  • The legal basics. A contact form collects personal data. The CNDP, Morocco's data-protection authority, says that a website operator collecting personal data must notify it and inform visitors. A low price does not move that obligation: it sits with you, the site owner.
  • A way out. Some platforms make leaving difficult. Ask what happens to your site, your content and your domain if you stop paying.

A cheap site can be sensible as a test: one page, your own domain, your own accounts. It stops being sensible when it becomes the thing customers judge your business by.

Freelancer, agency or do it yourself

There are several ways to get a website made in Morocco, and each is right for someone. There is no fair market price we could quote for them, so this comparison is about what you get and what can go wrong, not about amounts.

Route Suits Watch for
A freelancer Direct contact with the person doing the work, often flexible on scope One person is one point of failure: holidays, illness, a full calendar. Ask who holds the accounts.
An agency A team for design, development, content and project management More layers and more meetings. Ask who will actually build your site.
Doing it yourself Testing an idea, a very simple site, a tight budget Your time is not free, the learning curve is real, and the upkeep never stops.
ROSH™ Company Labs Published prices for four packages, a five-step process, work in French, Arabic and English An independent brand, not a registered company: no tax invoice, and orders are at the client's own risk.

Doing it yourself is a real option. WordPress is open-source software that its own website describes as free, for anyone comfortable arranging their own hosting and domain. Hosted shop platforms work differently: Shopify, for example, sells its plans as monthly or yearly subscriptions. Before you choose any platform, read its pricing page to the end, including the fees and what happens to your site when you stop paying.

Whichever route you take, judge the offer on three things: sites the person has really built that you can open on your phone, a written scope with a fixed price, and a clear answer on who will own the domain, the hosting account and the files. You can open the projects built by the studio and judge ROSH™ Company Labs the same way.

French, Arabic and English on one website

Many Moroccan businesses need a site that speaks to more than one audience: French for many business contacts, Arabic for a wide public, English for tourism, export and foreign partners. Doing that properly is closer to building three sites that share a design than to pressing a translate button.

Arabic is where most of the extra work sits. It reads from right to left, so the layout must be mirrored: menus, arrows, icons, forms and tables. The W3C, the body that writes web standards, advises declaring right-to-left direction on the page's html element and not applying the base direction with CSS. Mixed lines need care as well: a brand name in Latin letters or a price inside an Arabic sentence can jump to the wrong side unless the code handles it. And the fonts must stay readable in Arabic at small sizes on a phone.

Search engines add their own rules. Google recommends a separate address for each language version rather than switching the language with cookies or browser settings, hreflang annotations to connect the versions, visible links between the languages, and no automatic redirect from one language to another. Each version also needs its own titles and descriptions, written for the words people type in that language.

Then there is the writing. A good French page translated word for word into Arabic still reads like a translation. Budget for writing each language, not only translating it, and decide who will check each version before launch.

On the ROSH™ Company Labs price list, multi-language work sits in the Custom / Advanced Build at $799 / MAD 7990. If you need French, Arabic and English, say so in your first message so the quote covers all three from the start. The site you are reading runs in all three languages, with right-to-left Arabic pages.

Selling online in Morocco: cash on delivery or card

The e-commerce package is $499 / MAD 4990 and lists product pages and categories, a cart and checkout with payment integration, shipping presets and SEO fundamentals. The harder question is how your customers will pay, because part of that decision is made with a bank or a payment provider, not only with a web developer.

Cash on delivery. Many Moroccan shoppers prefer to pay the delivery person rather than type a card number online, so many shops offer it. It needs no card-payment contract, but it creates its own work: confirming orders, parcels refused at the door, and collecting the cash through the delivery company. The site then needs a short, clear order form and a quick way to confirm each order, often by phone or WhatsApp.

Online card payment. To take cards on your own site you need a merchant agreement with an acquirer. For years that meant the CMI, the interbank card centre: its e-commerce page describes an online card-payment platform for local and international cards and directs merchants to its partner acquirers. The market has since opened. In October 2024 the Conseil de la concurrence made binding the CMI's commitment to transfer its merchant contracts, online payment included, to payment institutions or the banks' acquiring subsidiaries, and since 1 May 2025 those companies can operate on the card-acquiring market. In practice, start with your own bank: ask which acquirer and payment gateway it offers for an online shop, and which documents it needs.

The CMI's page also describes 3-D Secure, the step where the buyer enters a secret code before the payment is authorised. Test that step with your own card before launch, on a phone as well as on a computer.

If you are considering a hosted shop platform, check its payment options for Morocco first. Shopify's help centre, for example, lists the countries where Shopify Payments is available; Morocco is not among them, and businesses elsewhere need a third-party payment provider, which Shopify's pricing page says may carry third-party transaction fees.

Many shops end up offering both: cash on delivery for customers who want it, cards for those who prefer them. Plan the checkout so both are possible, even if card payment is switched on later. Selling online also brings consumer-protection rules, which the step-by-step guide linked at the end of this page covers.

How to get an accurate quote

A vague request gets a vague price. Whoever you ask, send these points in one message and you will get a figure you can compare.

  1. What the business does, in two sentences, and the city or cities you serve.
  2. The goal of the site: calls, WhatsApp messages, bookings, online sales, or credibility with partners and banks.
  3. The pages you think you need, even as a rough list.
  4. The languages: French, Arabic, English, or a mix.
  5. The features: contact form, booking, product catalogue, payments, customer accounts, links to other tools.
  6. Your content: which texts and photos already exist, and what must be created.
  7. Two or three websites you like, and what exactly you like about them.
  8. Your domain and hosting situation: already owned or not, and in whose name.
  9. Your deadline, and whether it is fixed.
  10. Your budget range. It saves both sides time.

Then read the quote you receive against the same list. Is the domain registered in your name? Who holds the hosting account? What is included, and what will cost extra later? What happens after launch? A good provider answers all of this in writing without being asked twice.

How ROSH™ Company Labs prices a website

The four packages above are the complete website design price list. Choose the one closest to your project; larger projects are scoped with the Custom / Advanced Build. Every build includes the same SEO fundamentals: meta titles and descriptions, proper headings, schema basics, image alt text and performance tuning. At launch the site is deployed and checked, clean files are handed over, and you keep full ownership of what is built for you.

The work follows five steps: planning and UX strategy, wireframes and prototypes, UI design, development and performance, then SEO fundamentals and launch. Send your project and you get back a process outline, a timeline and a quote, usually within 24 hours. The quote itself costs nothing.

If you already have a website and are not sure it needs replacing, start with the free website audit. A person reviews five points by hand — speed, mobile experience, SEO basics, trust and conversion, technical health — and tells you what to fix first, usually within 24 hours, with no obligation. Sometimes the honest answer is that your site needs repairs, not a rebuild. And if a free Google Business Profile is all you need for now, you will hear that as well.

Know who you are dealing with. ROSH™ Company Labs is an independent brand in Morocco, owned and led by Redouane, and not a registered company. It issues no tax invoice: no facture, no ICE. If your company needs an invoice for its accounts, choose a registered provider; that matters more than any saving. Orders are at the client's own risk, so ask every question before you pay. ROSH™ Company Labs is not affiliated with Google, the CMI, Shopify or any other organisation named on this page.

To start, send the checklist above through the contact page or on WhatsApp, or read the website design page for the full package details.

Common questions about website prices in Morocco

How much does a website cost in Morocco?

With ROSH™ Company Labs, a landing page is $149 / MAD 1490, a 4–6 page business website $299 / MAD 2990, an online shop $499 / MAD 4990 and a custom build $799 / MAD 7990. Those prices cover the build. The running costs come on top: the domain, hosting, email and upkeep, which recur and depend on the providers you choose.

Is the domain name included in the price?

The website design page does not list a domain in any package, so do not assume it is included. Ask in writing. Whoever handles the registration, the domain should be in your name or your company's, because the holder is the one with rights over it. A .ma name is sold through ANRT-accredited registrars, a .com through ICANN-accredited registrars.

Why do website prices in Morocco vary so much?

Because the word website covers very different jobs. A one-page template with stock photos and a trilingual shop with card payment and customer accounts share a name, not a workload. Pages, custom design, content, features, languages, SEO groundwork and speed all move the price. Compare quotes line by line, and check what each one leaves out, not only the total.

What yearly costs should I expect once the website is built?

Plan for the domain renewal, hosting, professional email if you want addresses on your own domain, and maintenance: updates, backups and small changes. The security certificate can cost nothing, since free certificate authorities such as Let's Encrypt exist. The amounts depend on the providers you pick, so ask every quote to list running costs separately from the build.

Does a website in French, Arabic and English cost more?

Yes, because it is more work. Each language needs its own pages, titles and descriptions, and Arabic must be laid out right to left, which affects menus, forms and any Latin text inside Arabic sentences. On the ROSH™ Company Labs price list, multi-language work sits in the Custom / Advanced Build at $799 / MAD 7990. Mention your languages in your first message.

Can my online shop accept card payments in Morocco?

Yes, through a merchant agreement with an acquirer. The CMI offers an online card-payment platform through partner acquirers, and since 1 May 2025 payment institutions and the banks' acquiring subsidiaries can also operate on that market. Start by asking your own bank what it offers for an online shop. Many Moroccan shops also keep cash on delivery for customers who prefer it.

Can I get a tax invoice for my website?

No. ROSH™ Company Labs is an independent brand, not a registered company, and issues no tax invoice: no facture, no ICE. If your company needs an invoice for its accounts, choose a registered provider instead. That is a perfectly good reason to go elsewhere, and it is better to know it before you ask for a quote than after.

Can I build the website myself instead?

Yes, and for a simple start it can be the right call. WordPress is free, open-source software for anyone who arranges their own hosting and domain, and Shopify, a hosted shop platform, sells monthly or yearly plans. The real costs are your time, the learning curve and the upkeep. If you try it, keep the domain and every account in your own name.

Will a new website bring me customers from Google?

Not by itself. A well-built site gives Google clean pages to read, but Google says no one can guarantee a #1 ranking, and that some changes might take effect within hours while others could take several months. Visibility comes from useful content, a Google Business Profile if you serve customers in person, and time. Be wary of anyone who promises positions.

How quickly does ROSH™ Company Labs send a quote?

Usually within 24 hours. Send your business, goal, pages, languages, features and deadline through the contact page or on WhatsApp, and you get back a process outline, a timeline and a quote based on the four packages. Asking costs nothing, and if your current site only needs fixing, the free audit is the better first step.
